My name is JD, I am originally from Inglewood, CA but live in the Bay Area. I started The Color Plant/Color Plant Customs in December 2019 because I had many friends with children and wanted to give them all an affordable Christmas gift. One that was special, customized, and something they could enjoy with their child. Originally I only wanted to use plants (yes, plants!) to dye my garments but I found it was easier to customize with Rit Dye (hence why I created Color Plant Customs). I started crocheting in March 2023 after two frustrating encounters. I figured it would be easier to learn to make myself crocheted items like the Halloween pants in the picture above. My goal is to provide you with affordable & stylish clothing, customized to your liking.
